Buddies

This morning Luke and I went and visited with my good friend Allison and her son Jack. Luke got a kick out of Jack and kept laughing and trying to talk to him. Although Luke looks like a tank next to Jack, Jack is 3 weeks older than Luke. They were so cute together.

Here are a few pictures of the boys.

Road Trip!

Over easter weekend we went to St. George to visit Barrett's grandparents and several of his aunts and uncles who were in town. We had such a great time relaxing and visiting. It was fun for Luke to meet his Great Aunt Lisa, Great Uncle Ron, and cousins Hudson and Jackson from Arizona for the first time. He also loved spending time with the rest of the crew.

One morning we went the "Farm" that is near Barrett's grandparents house to see the animals.

Here is Luke with his cousins (technically Barrett's cousins) Brynn, Kamryn and Emery getting ready to go to the farm.

Driving the tractor

He had such a fun time with these girls. Their older brother Riley was at his baseball game where his team made it to championship day, go Crushers!

Luke with his Great Grandma "Nana"

My brother Kevin and his family were also in St. George visiting his wife's Grandma, so we met up with them and went swimming.

Luke wasn't too sure about the cool the water in the pool

But he loved the hot tub!

Hanging out with Aunt Jamie watching the kids swim

The whole crew: Barrett, Luke, Mason, Kevin, Jamie, Eli, Katie, and Jessica (Luke would not look at the camera.)

Fun times!

Shoes!

Luke has the fattest feet ever, which makes it very difficult to find shoes that fit. My good friend Meggan gave Luke some Robeez and I can't even get those over Luke's fat feet. Anyway, yesterday at Smith's we found some baby crocs that actually fit Luke's feet!! Croc's aren't my favorite as far as looks go, but they're easy to slip on and off his feet so I consider it a success!

Here is a picture of Luke with his shoes on

If you look close in the next two pictures you can see Luke's bottom teeth

Luke Update

It's been awhile since I have posted about Luke. He is just the cutest, funnest kid ever (I might be a little biased:))! Since I last posted I took him back to the orthopedic specialists and had more x-rays. His curve is better by 2 degrees. It started at 23 degrees, then it went to 19 degrees, and at his last check it was at 17 degrees. The Dr. was hoping it would have corrected a little more than 2 degrees but the good news is that it's not getting worse, bad news is it hasn't improved enough to get him off of high risk insurance. The Dr. thinks that when Luke starts walking we should see greater improvements.

Luke has started holding his own bottle which is so nice. His two bottom teeth came in (he puts his tongue over them whenever I try to take a picture.) He waves hi and bye, which is so cute. And he is just an all around fun kid. We have so much fun playing with him, he is becoming a serious tease.

Here are some recent photos of little guy:

Deep Sea Fishing

I forgot to mention in the previous post that us, the McGee's, and the Brown's went a day early so that the guys could go deep sea fishing. They had a blast and caught a lot of fish. Thanks Blake for the pictures!

Brayten and Barrett showing off their haul

Apparently Mahi Mahi mate for life, so once Blake hooked on to the female Mahi Mahi the male was right by it and Brayten hooked on to the male. They realed them in at the same time.
Here is the boat helper guy, Blake and Brayten showing off their Mahi Mahi

Barrett had a shark on in this pic, but it snapped the line. Big dissapointment.

The fishermen: Blake, Barrett, and Brayten

The best part was that night when the rest of our friends got to Florida we took the fish the guys caught to this little ocean side restaraunt and they cooked it up for us. I'm not a real fish fan but the Mahi Mahi and Tuna were awesome!!

Cruisin' the Western Caribbean!!!

We just back from our cruise and it was awesome! I was ready to come home at the end because I missed Luke so much, but we had a blast.

Here we are in the Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale getting ready to get on the shuttle to head to the ship!
Meggan & Rob, Mike & Misty (yes Misty you did make the blog!), us, Brayton & Stephanie

Here we are on the balcony of our room

Day 2 was in Key West. We had such a blast. We rented scooters and cruised the whole island.

Here we are with Rob and Meggan at the southern most point of the U.S. Only 90 miles to Cuba!

We went to a Butterfly Farm in Key West and this one really liked Barrett

Our first formal dinner on the cruise. Fun times!

Day 3 was Scuba Diving in Cozumel. It was awesome.

Day 4 was Stingray City in Grand Cayman. This was a pretty amazing experience. Stingrays everywhere!

Day 5 (Valentine's Day) was in Jamaica. Jamaica totally reminded me and Rob of Guatemala (we both served our missions there), so that was pretty cool but the people were so rude. Glad I've been there but I have no desire to go back any time soon.

What a fun trip, but I'm glad to be home with Luke! Huge thanks to Gary and Buff, and Kevin and Jamie for watching him while we were gone.
