Fun Times for Christmas!

Well, it has been quite awhile since I've posted, so this will be a catch up post. We've been busy getting ready for Christmas and getting Luke insured. Luke was denied again by our insurance even after his check up with the specialists, so we finally got him on HIPUtah(insurance for uninsurable people) this week. That was our Christmas miracle! HIPUtah is much more affordable than paying COBRA, so we feel really blessed. On a side note, I now know basically all there is to know about private insurance so if anyone has a question let me know:)!! Christmas was wonderful and thanks to everyone who spoiled Luke!!!

Anyway, here are some pictures of Christmas morning

Christmas morning at Grandma Wendy's. For some reason this is the only picture that turned out from there, so below is a picture of Luke and Grandma Wendy on Thanksgiving.

Mmmmmm Good

Okay, so Luke and I seriously struggled yesterday. Every time I gave him a bite of carrots he would grab the spoon and try to do it himself. Here is the result:

He probably would have licked it clean if I would have let him!

All cleaned up!

Bunch of Random Catch Up Photos

So here are a bunch of photos that I've been meaning to post but haven't gotten around to it.

Off the Charts!

Luke had his four month check up on Monday and as expected he's off the charts. He weighs 19 pounds 3 ounces and is 26 inches long. I don't know how Barrett and I got such a huge baby, but we'll keep him!!

Look at those chubby thighs with his bandaids from shots.

His doctor said we could start him on cereal and 1st stage foods. Here is Luke's first time eating cereal, he loved it!

Happy Birthday Tommy!!

This is Luke and one of his best buddies, Tommy. Tommy just happens to live right next door! Anyway, here's a shout out to Tommy who turned 1 last week!!!

Halloween Costume #2

So my original plan was to have Luke be the cowboy for the costume parade at the elementary school and then the pea pod on Halloween. Well when I tried the pea pod costume on him he absolutely HATED it. So all I got was a couple of photos and then back he went to the cowboy costume.

Jack the Pirate, Tommy the Lion and Luke the cowboy
(The reason Luke is looking down in both of these pictures is because Barrett was laying on the ground in from of him)

Luke and his cousins
Brinley the yellow Care Bear, Sadie the ice cream cone, Luke the cowboy and Hailey as Winnie the Pooh dressed up as a bee!

Luke and Hailey, they just crack me up

Tree Time

Our friends and neighbors, the McGee's, are getting ready to start an addition on their house. In order to get started they needed to cut down a HUGE pine tree. Barrett and Brayton decided that they would cut the tree down themselves. After some very tense moments (the tree was starting to fall toward the other neighbors house) they got it to fall exactly where they wanted it to (which happened to be right on our fence.) Then they decided to take down a couple of trees in our backyard that have needed to come down. Now our back yards look like disasters, but at least the trees are down!
The McGee's tree half way cut down

Our backyard disaster zone

Barrett topping one of our tree's between about five different power lines. Notice Brayton on the left guiding the tree.

Luke's all tuckered out. That is some serious chub!

Lil' Tex

This morning was the Halloween parade at the elementary school up the street. Luke's cousin Zac goes there, so we went up to see all the kids. We dressed Luke up in his cowboy costume that Barrett's mom made out of the leather from a deer that he shot when he was young. Doesn't he make the cutest cowboy ever?!

I love his cheeks in this picture
