Luke Turned Two!

Luke turned two on the 10th of July! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. We were in Bear Lake on his birthday so he was able to spend the day with his cousins, which he loved. Our nephew Zac turned 12 on the 11th and our niece Makell turned 14 on the 12th , so all three had their birthdays together in Bear Lake and got to share a birthday cake.

Opening some presents from Grandma and trying out the cool Luke size pool table that Uncle Tanner built for Luke in wood shop.

We celebrated some more and had a little BBQ party with Luke's friends. He got this awesome Ute's shirt and what has become his most prized possession, a vacuum. We had so much fun!

Luke at 2:

  • loves vacuums and cleaning, we think he might grow up to be a janitor:)
  • loves to talk and talk and talk
  • any word that ends with an r he turns into a y, water is watey, raider is raidey etc. my favorite is how he says helicopter = helicotey
  • snuggles with mom every morning when he wakes up (my favorite time of the day)
  • can't wait for dad to get home from work everyday and asks to call dad all day long
  • loves to jump on the tramp
  • loves his cozy blankie
  • loves to help mom clean the house
  • loves, loves, loves going to nursery
  • loves the color orange
  • weighs 30 lbs., is 34" tall and head is 19 and half
  • loves to read books
  • knows most of his letters
  • loves to tease
  • says the cutest prayers and blesses just about everyone he can think of

There is so much more I can write, and I just might add to this list but this is it for now. Luke is so funny, sweet and caring. We love him and can't imagine life without him. I think we'll keep him! Love you Luke, and happy number 2!

Bear Lake Reunion

Last weekend we were able to go spend a few days with my family at Bear Lake. My sister-in-law, Heather's sister was kind enough to let our family stay in their beautiful cabin (thanks Kristi and Jason!) It was so much fun hanging out on the beach, boating, relaxing and having fun! Luke was in heaven having all his cousins around and they were so great to play with him and entertain him. Luke especially loved spending the whole weekend with his buddy Hailey. They are so cute together and just love each other. It was such a fun weekend. Luke turned 2 while we were up there, I'll post about that soon.

Reunion of Sorts

Last week I was able to go and visit my friend Melissa and her four cute girls. You would think we live in different countries for how often we are able to get together (to give you an idea of how often that is, we just exchanged Christmas gifts just last week), but no, she lives just 30 minutes away. It seems like every time we try to together one of our kids gets sick or something comes up. Anyway, I was so happy to finally see my BFF! We had such a great time and the time went by too fast. Here are some pictures from the day.

Emi, Miley, Luke, Eliza, and Ansley

Luke and "the babies" as he called them:)

Having fun jumping in Emi's crib
Melis and Ansley (or is it Emi? I'm pretty sure it's Ansley) bummer this picture turned out blurry but the background is in focus!

Thanks for a fun day Melis!

Major Catch Up!

I've tried several times over the past few weeks to upload pictures but it hasn't been working but today I finally got it to work. So, there are tons of catch up photos below.

A couple of weeks ago I woke on Sunday morning with the flu. Barrett took care me and played with Luke all day. I woke up from my nap to find this fort they had built. They watched movies in there and played. Luke loved it and was in heaven playing with his dad all day.

They played so hard that they finally crashed!

We went to air show up at Hill Air Force Base with my brother Eric and his family. There were thousands of people there but we still had a great time. We road the Front Runner up there and then took a shuttle over to the air show. It was Luke's ultimate day, he got to ride a train, a bus, and then see airplanes and helicopters. He was in heaven!

The other day I got out of the shower and found this
Luke told me he cooked for me! After that I couldn't get mad.

Before the rain, when it felt a little like summer, Luke went and tried out Jack's new pool

We went to Liberty Park with Jack and Meggan to feed the ducks. Those ducks certainly are not afraid of kids!
I had to keep reminding Luke not to eat the stale bread and to throw it to the ducks

All caught up! Hopefully I'll do a better job of keeping up with this blog over the summer!
