6 years ago today

That's right, 6 years ago today Barrett and I got married. It was a cold and rainy day, but it was perfect. It has been a wonderful 6 years and I look forward to many more to come. Happy Anniversary Barrett, I love you!

Guess what we get to do celebrate our anniversary. Three Words: Ward Camp Out. Yeah, I know you're jealous.

SPARQ Training

I have been doing SPARQ training for about the past 5 weeks and I love it! It started out with my brother training me, my sister-in-law, and a few others a couple of times a week because we wanted to get in better shape. We all loved it so much and other people heard about it and wanted to do the training too so my brother, Gary, decided to offer SPARQ training classes. It is a total body workout and I love that I am actually seeing results. I hate exercising, but I love this class because I can see results after only 5 weeks. I have been trying flatten my stomach since I had Luke and it has become flatter in the past 5 weeks than the previous 12 months before when I was trying on my own.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know out there in blog land about this awesome class. Click on the flyerbelow for more info, or just email me or call me if you have questions.

Dad's little helper

Before we had Luke Barrett would ask me if I thought our son would want to work on cars and other projects with him. This weekend he got his answer! Barrett spent the weekend fixing all the things around the house that needed attention, and Luke was right there with him the whole time. It was so cute, Luke wanted to be right there next to his dad in all the action. Luke would pick up the tool Barrett just put down and try to use it. I'm sure he was more in the way than anything but I think they both loved every minute of it!!!

All Grown Up

When we got Luke ready for church yesterday morning I looked at him and realized that my baby is gone, he's all grown up.

More Saturday Fun!

Saturday afternoon we headed down to the Rec center to take Luke swimming. Rob and Meggan were taking Jack and their nephews to go swimming so we decided to tag along. We are so glad we did, it was so much fun. Luke loved it. It's fun to see him really enjoy the water (that makes his dad really happy.) We were in the kid area that is about two feet deep and Luke insisted on walking by himself. He would stumble and fall under the water and it didn't even phase him. We would pull him up out of the water and he would keep on going.

I love this picture!

Does this swimsuit make me look fat?:)

Fun at the park!

Yesterday Luke and I were bored so I decided it would be fun to go check out this cool park I saw on the way to my brother's house in Woods Cross. By the time we got out the door and got there all the toys were too hot to play on so we just ran around on the grass for awhile. The toys looked liked a lot of fun, so first thing this morning we all headed over to the park so Luke could play. He loved it. His favorite were the swings, but he had a blast on everything else too. I can't believe that he is turning into such a little boy. My baby is growing up. We all had a lot of fun and it was a fun way to spend our Saturday morning!

Flaming Gorge

Last weekend my family made our annual camping/boating trip to Flaming Gorge and it was definitely a trip to remember! The first night we had a crazy windstorm that woke us up quite a few times. The next morning was a bit overcast but we all headed over to a little beach area and spent a few hours playing in the boat, sand and water. It got to be pretty cold so we all headed back to camp. We slept pretty good the next night but woke up to a cold rainy morning. We decided to go to breakfast over in Dutch John and hoped the weather would clear up by the time we got back. When all 27 of us walked in to the restaurant I thought the hostess was going to have a heart attack! Breakfast was great and when we got back to camp the weather got worse. We decided to throw our clothes in our cars, leave camp and head to Vernal to stay the night in a hotel. This turned out to be really fun. The hotel had an indoor pool and hot tub and we had it all to ourselves. We had fun playing in the pool, playing games, eating dinner at Wingers and just spending time with each other. The next day we headed back up to the Lake to pack up and spend some time on the water. The day was beautiful and we had a great time. Three flat tires later (and Barrett almost getting smashed by an out of control car while he was changing the last flat tire on the highway-scary) we made it home with lots of memories. My family is great and it was so much fun spending a few day with them!

Luke and his buddy Hailey - these two babies did so great on the trip. I was so proud of them! (Ever since we got home Luke walks around the house saying "Hailey" over and over. He loves his cousin)
